Ford South Africa Selling Rubbish - Ford Tourneo

If anybody out there is thinking of buying a new Ford, think very long & hard about it. Ask the dealer whether they believe in fixing parts or just replacing them, ask how expensive the parts are, ask them if the brake disks can be skimmed or whether they will just replace them (will cost you around R10,000) if they have forgotten to tell you that the brake pads need replacing. If the vehicle has computers all over the place be VERY wary about buying it. Our Ford Tourneo has been off the road for 2 weeks now while they try to find out why the alarms keep going off and all the dashboard lights go off & on. 3 weeks prior to this it cost us R31,000 in new parts because they either won't or can't fix them. And a week after that the computer started playing up. It was gone for 4 days, was fixed we thought and then 2 days later started doing the same thing. It's now been with Numbi Ford since 3rd August and they still cannot solve the problem. It's apparently a common problem and yet Ford still keeps selling the vehicle. So far we have had to hire in vehicles to the tune of around R30,000 to cover the work we are contracted to do. So in 5 weeks the vehicle, which is only 14 months old and cost almost half a million rand, has cost us over R60,000. Ford Customer Care just keep saying they have to refer it back to the selling dealer but they still haven't satisfactorily answered all our queries regarding the brake disks & brake pads from a month ago, which we took to a brake specialists who confirmed that the old disks were up to manufacturers specifications and did not need replacing. Does Ford SA really think that they are going to care that the vehicle is off the road and beyond repair? They very kindly offered to send us another vehicle to use in the meantime but we can't legally carry paying passengers in a vehicle that doesn't have a road carrier permit and you can't even get a temporary one of those without a tax clearance certificate, business registration papers, a roadworthy certificate, an operators licence, ownership papers, contracts or letters from your clients etc etc. The constitution says something about not preventing a person from making a living but, Ford South Africa , you are doing just that. You are causing us financial harm which we can ill afford in the current economic climate. You have sold us a vehicle which is not fit for use and we are expected to just accept it? I have waited patiently and said nothing on Facebook or other forms of social media but I cannot just keep on accepting your reasons for not providing a solution to this huge problem
